Pendle MP, Andrew Stephenson has urged Pendle businesses to bid for an £8 million funding pot aimed at creating jobs in the County.

The Government backed Lancashire Business Growth Fund is a programme offering capital investment grants and international trade support to businesses across the County.

Its key aim is to accelerate the creation of sustainable jobs by encouraging companies to bring forward growth projects on a bigger scale, yielding a larger impact at a time when those jobs are most needed. To date, the Regional Growth Fund has invested over £2.85 billion, helping businesses to grow, and is expected to create or safeguard over 580,000 jobs.

Andrew Stephenson MP said:

“This is excellent news and welcome recognition by Government of the potential possessed by our local businesses. You can find out more information online by searching ‘Lancashire business growth fund’ or contacting the East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce.

I will be encouraging businesses across Pendle to take advantage of this additional Government funding before it’s all spent!”
